Project: Commercial Bay, Auckland for Precinct Properties

Commercial Bay is a $1 billion dollar shopping, entertainment, and office complex in the heart of downtown Auckland. The precinct boasts three levels of world class retailers, bars, and restaurant along with a 39 level office building that has added to the unique Auckland skyline.  

Construct Health's role in the Commercial Bay project

From 2019 through to the project's opening date in June 2020, Construct Health was involved in the provision of a full health and safety management team on site managing the complexities equal to any large construction company including:

• Administration of inductions (online)
• Contractor health and safety engagement
• Contractor management
• Reviews of contractor OHS management systems
• Site inspections
• Incident investigations 
• Day to day health and safety management expected on a project of such magnitude

Construct Health worked with the client, contractors, tenancy coordinators, and retail staff to lead and manage the health and safety on site ensuring compliance throughout the entirety of the project.

40 Bowen Street 

Construct Health worked with Precinct Properties and LT McGuiness (contractor) at Bowen Campus to establish health and safety key objectives prior to commencement of the project.

Over the life cycle of Bowen State Building and Charles Fergusson House, we undertook onsite monitoring ensuring the agreed health and safety objectives were implemented successfully on the projects. 

This project was very complex and involved high level consultancy from Construct Health's key advisors. The sheer size and intricacy of this project is testament to the expertise that was required from Construct Heath's team.

Company wide site inspections 

Construct Health conducts regular site inspections across Precinct Properties nationwide for more than a dozen projects varying in hazard and site size including Mayfair House, 1 Queen Street, PWC tower fit out, and the Willis Street Tunnel renovation,
